| seems to me like it relates to the crew accidently causing their ship to leak the gases which sent them off course or something... i could be very wrong though :v |

It also says "I'll tell you a story". So perhaps he is telling a story on what happens if you burn too fast. I don't know. I'm just throwing my 2 cents into the jar. :/
It might make more sense if we knew the actual lyrics.
Here is my attempt at deciphering the lyrics. Maybe someone can understand lines that I don't. With my luck the lyrics will be on their site tomorrow and I will have wasted my time. >.<
