I don't really get this song. In fact, I don't really like this song. When I'm listening to this album, it's the only song I ever consider skipping, and usually I act on that consideration. Can anyone change my mind? _________________ And though the last lights off the black West went

This is probably the only BS2 song I ever skip also. _________________ Disbeliever/Underachiever |

really? wow? I'm surprised to hear that about this song. It is actually one of my favorites to listen to. As far as "getting it" - I wouldn't say I understand the meaning behind the song, but to me it sounds like struggling with and overcoming sin. Anybody buy that?
Of course I also really like the sound of it too - you can really rock out too it. |

I guess it's just my preference in music. I like ska/punk pop, and I just think this song is a little harder rock than I would like. _________________ Disbeliever/Underachiever |

I'll second that, mxpxpunk. _________________ And though the last lights off the black West went

You're not alone!
I love this song. However, I also regularly spend 90 minutes just listening to both BSS CDs straight through. Along with the quality of the music and lyrics, one of the reasons they're my favorite band is because of the somewhat unique (in my experience) way that their songs, from So Far From Home's Prologue all the way through Daylight tell a consistent story (although not every song fits the astronaut metaphor). I almost feel like I'm watching a movie, just that's it's told through music rather than moving pictures. Titan is one of my favorite songs because I like the rockin' out, but also because- when I hear it- it's the scene where the spaceship gets damaged and they find themselves lost and stranded. It's a pivotal moment in the story. |
